Influence of context and assumptions: What are some of the assumptions you had about alcohol. That is, before reading the article on alcohol how would you have answered the question: “I used to think this about alcohol”?

I used to think that alcohol was a social lubricant that could help me make friends and have fun experiences. I also used to assume that there were no negative consequences of drinking alcohol, or that they were minimal and outweighed by the potential benefits. I also used to believe that I could control my drinking and that it would never lead to addiction or other problems associated with alcohol use.
