The possible width of the support for the drop tower is about 9.92 meters

The steps used to find the width of the support for the drop tower ride are as follows;

The length of the top parallel side of the trapezoid = 4.5 m

Length of the legs of the two right triangles in the diagram are 4 m and (3 m + 3 m) = 6 m

Length of the hypotenuse side of the two right triangles in the diagram are;

Hypotenuse length is; √(4² + 6²) = 2·√(13) m

Width of the support is the sum of the two hypotenuse length less the length of the top parallel side of the trapezoid, from which we get;

Width of the support is; 2 × 2·√(13) - 4.5 ≈ 9.92 m

Please find attached the possible diagram of the support created using MS Word, obtained from a similar question found through search
