Answer:

y = 2x + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

You put it into slope-intercept form -> y = mx + b

m is the slope. Remember, slope is calculated by rise/run. Find two lattice points and count how many tiles vertically and how many horizontally then divide it. If the line looks like the / sign it is positive and \ it is negative.

b is the y-intercept. You find the y-intercept by finding the point the line crosses the vertical axis. You then write it like (0, y) where y would be your b.

~This Problem~

In this problem I found 2 lattice points (-2, 0) and (-1, 2). It has a vertical difference of 2 and a horizontal difference of 1. The line looks like / thus positive. 2/1 is 2 so the slope, or m, is 2.

The y-intercept by looking at the graph plots: (0, 4). The y is 4 so b is 4.

Plugging in m and b into slope-intercept form results in y = 2x + 4.
