If ab=1, bc=-16,c=-band c <-a what is the value of a+b?

4.25

Explanation:

since bc= -16

and c= -b

than b has to equal 4

and c has to equal -4

now we can fill in what we know with ab=1 to find a


a(4)=1

divide 4 on both sides


a=(1)/(4)

Now that we know a and b we can find a+b


(1)/(4) +4


4.25
