To make green paint, students mixed yellow paint with blue paint. The table below shows how many yellow and blue drops from a dropper several students used to make the same shade of green paint.

Choose all that apply . Which equations represent the relationship between the amount of yellow paint and blue paint. A. Y = 0.66666B. B. = B = Y. C. Y = B. D. B = 1.5Y. E. Y = 1.5B. F. B = 0.6666Y

The equation which represent the relationship between the amount of yellow paint and blue paint is y = 1.75x + 0.5

What is the equation that represents the relationship?

Point 1:

(5.5, 8.25)

Point 2:

(2, 3)

Slope, m = (8.25 - 3) / (5.5 - 2)

= 5.25 / 3.5

= 1.75

y = mx + b

Using point 2

y = mx + b

3 = 1.75(2) + b

3 = 3.5 + b

3 - 3.5 = b

b = 0.5

Therefore, the equation of the line is

y = 1.75x + 0.5
