Answer:

Explanation:

S=1/4(a+b)

Multiply both sides of the equation by the denominator [4(a+b)]

(S)(4(a+b))=1

Move S to right side of equation with division

4(a+b)=1/S

Move 4 to right side of equation with division

(a+b)=1/4S

Subtract a to get b

b=1/4S - a

S=\cfrac{1}{4}t(a+b)\implies S=\cfrac{t(a+b)}{4}\implies 4S=ta+tb \\\\\\ 4S-ta=tb\implies \cfrac{4S-ta}{t}=b
