The missing side QR is 22.

Similar sides of two triangles

The ratio of similar sides in a similar triangles can be used to determine the length of an unknown side. This is because, the corresponding sides of the similar sides of a triangle are equal.

From the given triangles, we can say:

|FG| = |FQ|

|GH| = |QR|

Using the ratio of similar triangles;

(FG)/(FQ)=(GH)/(QR)

(35)/(14)=(55)/(QR)

35 × QR = 14 × 55

QR = (14 * 55)/(35)

QR = 22
