The inequality is solved to
x < 4

First, we have that the inequality is given as;

(x)/(2) + x - (2)/(3) < 5

find the lowest common factor, we have;

3x + 3(x -2)/6 < 5

expand the bracket, we get;

3x + 3x - 6/6 < 5

collect the like terms, we have;

6x - 6/6 < 5

cross multiply the values, we get;

6x - 6 < 5(6)

expand the bracket

6x - 6 < 30

collect the like terms

6x < 24

divide the values

x < 4
