4 8
5 9
6 10
x y
1 5
2 10
3 15
4 20
How to fill up the table
The equation used to fill up the table is in the slope intercept form
y = mx + b
Where
m = slope
b = y-intercept (initial value)
We assume m = 1, so the equation is y = x + 4
x = 3, y = 3 + 4 = 7
x = 4, y = 4 + 4 = 8
x = 5, y = 5 + 4 = 9
x = 6, y = 6 + 4 = 10
2. for an b = 0 and at x = 2, y =10 we have
y = mx
m = 10/2 = 5
x = 1, y = 1 * 5 = 5
x = 2, y = 2 * 5 = 10
x = 3, y = 3 * 5 = 15
x = 4, y = 4 * 5 = 20
