Having high levels of fat in your liver is also associated with an increased risk of serious health problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease. If you already have diabetes, NAFLD increases your chance of developing heart problems.

Fatty liver can also cause psychological symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and low mood, which can affect one’s mental health and social interactions.

Fatty liver can cause physical symptoms such as fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea, and weight loss, which can interfere with one’s daily activities and productivity. This can affect one’s work performance, relationships, hobbies, and self-esteem
