The angles form a linear pair/ are supplementary, so they add to 180

7b - 2 + 3b + 2 = 180
7b + 3b - 2 + 2 = 180
10b = 180
b = 18

Check:
7(18)- 2 + 3(18)+ 2 = 180
126 - 2 + 54 + 2 = 180
124 + 54 + 2 = 180
178 + 2 = 180
180 = 180 :)
