mirror means consciousness...meaning you recognize yourself

butterfly means change

lot of mirrors on either side & you see a whole lot of yourself...so dimensions

"reality" might mean choices?

looking in the mirror may mean analyzing yourself like giving yourself therapye

butterfly can also mean life after death or no death but change even tho it looks like it (the caterpillar died)

worms if you cut them in half they regenerate so it looks like they became 2 worms which looks like a person in the mirror like there are 2 of the same person

so maybe the author is saying he is still same person even with different choices or even with change?

MAYBE never-ending cycle of Life and death

MAYBE changes in life?

caterpillar radically transforms its body, eventually emerging as a butterfly

the worm is the start, the butterfly is the end. Life flourishes tells us that Life represents the worm and the butterfly, represents death. It questions which one is more realistic (i guess?) in the first line

Answer:

Okay just by reading this at first glance its kinda hard but okay. Based of this stanza; this poem means on finding out the truth of reality, the beginning and the end of someone's or something death. Basically; people are continually attributing causes to their own and others' behavior; nevertheless, attributions do not always precisely reflect reality.
