Glucose is a CARBOHYDRATE, specifically it is a monosaccharide which is a simple sugar.

Glucose is made of 6 carbons, 12 hydrogens and 6 oxygens.



An amino acid is a monomer which combines with other amino acids to form a PROTEIN. Specifically, amino acids can be linked together to form a string of amino acids called a polypeptide.

An amino acid is made of an amine group, a single hydrogen, an R variable group (side chain) and a carboxyl group.
