If we look at the circle graph it tells us that 25% of all salads sold were caesar salads. We also know there were 5 caesar salads sold, telling us that 25% of the restaurant's salads sold is equal to 5. If 5 represents 25% of the salads sold it means that 5 represents 1/4 of the salads sold because 25% is the same thing as saying 1/4. Now if we want to find how many salads were sold in total, all we have to do is multiply 5 by 4 because to get from 1/4 to 1 that is what we'd have to do, leaving us with our final answer of 20 salads.
