y=1/3x+5

Explanation:

Parallel to a line means the lines have the same slope (1/3)

we can use the equation y-y1=m(x-x1)

m=slope

x1=3

y1=6

1.) y-6=1/3(x-3)

2.) y-6=1/3x-1

add 6 to both sides and you get

y=1/3x+5

this is the equation in slope intercept form
