You would do the

whole number × demoninator + numerator

1×3=3+1= 4 the demoninator will stay the same so it'll be 4/3

then we do the same to the other one

1×4=4+3= 7 so it'll be 7/4

4/3 × 7/4 = 28/12

Numerator × Numerator

Demoninator × demoninator

You need to turn it back into a improper fraction so it would be

12, 24

thats 2 that's going to be your whole number because thats how many times 12 goes into 28

with a remainder of 4.
