∠ 3 = 55°

Explanation:

∠ 2 and ∠ 7 are corresponding angles and are congruent, then

5x - 60 = 3x + 14 ( subtract 3x from both sides )

2x - 60 = 14 ( add 60 to both sides )

2x = 74 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 37

∠ 2 = 3x + 14 = 3(37) + 14 = 111 + 14 = 125°

∠ 2 and ∠ 3 are adjacent angles on a straight line and sum to 180° , so

125° + ∠ 3 = 180° ( subtract 125° from both sides )

∠ 3 = 55°
