Explanation:

length(l)=x+4

breadth(b)=x-3

Area of rectangle(A)=l×b

60=(x+4)×(x-3)

60=x^2-3x+4x-12

60=x^2+x-12

x^2+x-12-60=0

x^2+x-72=0

x^2+9x-8x-72=0

x(x+9)-8(x+9)=0

(x+9)(x-8)=0

equating equation

x+9=0.....eq(i)

x=-9 it is not possible

x-8=0.....eq(ii)

x=8

Then,length(l)=x+4

=8+4=12

breadth(b)=x-3

=8-3=5
