The Civil war took place in order to ensure that certain issues were tackled and looked into such as slavery, economic and political issues etc.

This was necessary as the North and the South registered their grievances shuck led to the war breaking out as the both parties sought for a resolution to occur. This later happened and the war was then called off as a result of this.
