I am new to philosophy and would like to learn more about it in the future.

I would like to compile a list of influential philosophers of the 20th and 21st centuries and a brief overview of their corresponding ideologies/works, so I could get in contact with some modern aspects of philosophy. It does not have to be scholars who have serious, multi-volume works published, but can also be lesser known, or even philosophical content creators.

Final answer:

Here is a list of influential philosophers of the 20th and 21st centuries, along with a brief overview of their ideologies and works.

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Ludwig Wittgenstein: An Austrian-British philosopher known for his contributions to the philosophy of language and mind.
  2. Martin Heidegger: A German philosopher associated with existentialism and phenomenology.
  3. Michel Foucault: A French philosopher known for his work on power, knowledge, and discourse analysis.
  1. Wittgenstein's major works include "Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus" and "Philosophical Investigations." His philosophy focuses on the limits of language and the nature of logical analysis.
  2. Heidegger's major works include "Being and Time" and "The Question Concerning Technology." He explores the nature of existence, authenticity, and the role of technology in human life.
  3. Foucault's major works include "Discipline and Punish" and "The History of Sexuality." He investigates the relationship between power, knowledge, and social institutions, as well as the construction of sexuality.
