It looks like a black wasp or big ant with wings. It produces no noise. It mostly sits at one place on the wall, does not move. The young (or another gender) form has unproportionally long back legs, making it look like a spider.

It has big head with big eyes.

The description provided matches the characteristics of a species of insect known as a wingless praying mantis. These mantises are often mistaken for black wasps or large ants due to their unique appearance, but they are actually a type of predatory insect that is part of the order Mantodea.

Step-by-step explanation

Wingless praying mantises are a type of insect that has evolved to adapt to life without wings. These mantises are found in a variety of habitats, from forests and meadows to urban environments, and they are known for their distinctive appearance and unique behavior.

One of the most striking features of wingless praying mantises is their large, bulbous heads and compound eyes, which give them excellent vision and allow them to spot prey from a distance.

They also have long, spindly legs that they use to capture and subdue their victims, which can range from small insects to other invertebrates.Another unique characteristic of wingless praying mantises is their relatively immobile lifestyle.

Unlike flying mantises, which are able to move quickly and easily through the air, wingless mantises are relatively sedentary and spend most of their time sitting still on walls or other surfaces. This allows them to conserve energy and wait patiently for prey to come within striking distance.

Despite their lack of wings, wingless praying mantises are still able to reproduce and spread through their environments. The young (or nymphs) of these mantises look quite different from the adults, with unproportionally long back legs that make them resemble spiders.

These nymphs are also able to reproduce through a process called oothecae, in which the female lays a cluster of eggs that are protected by a hard outer shell.

In summary, wingless praying mantises are a fascinating species of insect that have evolved unique adaptations to survive without wings. Their distinctive appearance and behavior make them both intriguing and mysterious, and they continue to captivate scientists and nature enthusiasts alike.
