The chart can be completed with the following terms in the order from left to right as follows;

Matter

Pure Substance:

Element: Carbon

Compound: Air, Salt

Mixture:

Homogeneous: Air

Heterogeneous: Fruit salad

What are homogenous and heterogenous mixtures?

Homogeneous mixtures have a uniform composition throughout and some of their characteristics include the fact that all parts of the mixture appear the same, there is no visible separation of components and we have the same properties throughout the mixture.

Heterogeneous mixtures have a non-uniform composition and their characteristics include different parts of the mixture appearing different. visible separation of components and properties can vary depending on the location within the mixture.
