Barbara works out the cost of 1 loaf of bread as £1.

Answer:

£1.50 a loaf.

Explanation:

3 boxes of eggs- £1.20 times 3= £3.6

1 mayonnaise- £1.80= £1.8

£3.6+ £1.8= £5.4 (adding cost of eggs and mayonnaise)

£10- £1.60= £8.4 (subtract change from total money)

£8.4- £5.4= £3 (total money spent minus eggs and mayonnaise)

£3 divided by 2 loaves equals £1.50 a loaf
