How do you write the equation in slope intercept form given (-7,7) and (0,0)?

y=mx+b

m:slope

b: y-intercept

The slope is how steep the line is. The formula to find the slope with 2 coordinate pairs is
(x_(2)-x_(1) )/(y_(2)-y_(1) )

for this, it would be:


(7-0)/(-7-0)=


(7)/(-7) =\\-1

so the slope is negative one, this can be written as -x

The y-intercept is the point where x is 0 (this is where it crosses the y-axis). In this situation the y-intercept is 0, so you don't have to write it
