The value of x from the given triangles below would be given below;

1.) x = 12.65 in

2,) x = 11.51 km

How to calculate the missing value of the given triangle?

To calculate the value of x from the given figures, the formula of SOHCAHTOA should be used as follows:

For question 1.)

Sin 44⁰ = x/17.2

x = sin44⁰× 17.2

= 0.73155×17.2

= 12.65 in.

For question 2.)

Cos 44⁰ = x/16

x = Co's 44⁰× 16

= 0.71934×16

= 11.51 km.
