Explanation:

Perimeter of a rectangle: 2L+2W where L=length and W=width

P=56

56=2(4W+3)+2W

56=8W+6+2W

56=8W+2W+6

56=10W+6

56-6=10W

50=10W

W=50/10=5

W=5

L=4W+3=4(5)+3=20+3=23
