tan = (opp)/(adj)

\tan(37) = (opp)/(15)

h = 15 \tan(37)

h = 11.3 \: cm

Answer:

h ≈ 11.3 cm

Explanation:

Using the tangent ratio in the right triangle.

tan37° =
(opposite)/(adjacent) =
(h)/(15) ( multiply both sides by 15 )

15 × tan37° = h , that is

h ≈ 11. 3 cm ( to 1 dec. place )
