Final answer:

Cancer can be treated using surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy, either alone or in combination; each method has its specific applications and considerations.

Step-by-step explanation:

The treatments that may be used alone or in combination for the treatment of cancer are: a) surgery, b) radiation therapy, c) chemotherapy, and d) immunotherapy. Phlebotomy is not a treatment for cancer and therefore is not included in the list of cancer treatments. When deciding on a treatment plan, factors such as the type and location of the cancer, the stage of the disease, and the overall health of the patient are considered.

Chemotherapy involves the use of drugs to kill or slow the growth of cancer cells, and it can be administered orally or directly into the bloodstream. Immunotherapy boosts the body's immune system to fight cancer. Radiation therapy uses ionizing radiation to target and kill cancer cells, while sparing healthy tissues. Lastly, surgery can be used to physically remove cancerous tissue from the body.
