From the first grid given ;

• Sum of two successive values in the upper row gives the corresponding value in the row below.

For the second grid :

A = p + 4p

A = 5p

B = 4p + 5p

B = 9p

C = A + B

C = 5p + 9p

C = 14p

The values of A , B and C are 5p, 9p and 14p respectively.
