Answer:

y = - 3x + 14

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

given slope m = - 3 , then

y = - 3x + c ← is the partial equation

to fnd c , substitute (3, 5 ) for x and y into the partial equation

5 = - 3(3) + c = - 9 + c ( add 9 to both sides )

14 = c

y = - 3x + 14 ← equation of line
