Given :-

Dry concrete can be made by mixing sand, gravel and cement in the ratio 1: 3: 4.

  • Let, amount of sand = 1x
  • gravel = 3x,
  • Cement = 4x

Since If you want 1600 kg of dry concrete, then:

  • 1x + 3x + 4x = 1600
  • 4x + 4x = 1600
  • 8x = 1600

Divide both sides by 8

  • x = 200

Hence,

  • amount of sand = 1x = 1*200= 200 kg
  • gravel = 3x = 3*200 = 600 kg
  • Cement = 4x = 4*200 = 800 kg
