Given :-
Dry concrete can be made by mixing sand, gravel and cement in the ratio 1: 3: 4.
- Let, amount of sand = 1x
- gravel = 3x,
- Cement = 4x
Since If you want 1600 kg of dry concrete, then:
- 1x + 3x + 4x = 1600
- 4x + 4x = 1600
- 8x = 1600
Divide both sides by 8
Hence,
- amount of sand = 1x = 1*200= 200 kg
- gravel = 3x = 3*200 = 600 kg
- Cement = 4x = 4*200 = 800 kg
