Im sorry im doing my sisters work and i need alittle bit of help with her stuff im just thinking about many other things that i cant focus

The answer should be d because the colonists were undecided at the time because both sides had pros and cons to being loyal or being free. If they were to remain loyal they wouldn’t be losing lives in a needless battle or having to wonder who would lead them or keep things in balance but they would have to pay higher taxes and follow laws that didn’t always apply to their situation. If they were to be free, they could create a world where people were equal and they could do as they please when it came to jobs or living situations instead of having to suck up to whoever was in a higher position in order to achieve a better way of life; on the other hand, those who wanted to be free had to worry about natives and a lack of protection from them, or being thrown into a state of anarchy without justice for crimes committed against them.
