A cylindrical mug has a radius 5 cm and a height of 13 cm. If you drop two perfectly spherical scoops of vanilla ice cream, each with a radius of 3 cm, how many cubic centimeters of root beer will you need to fill the mug to the brim without it spilling over the sides?

Answer: 794.8

Explanation:

volume of cylinder = 5^2*pi*13 = 1021

volume of scoops = 2 * ( 113.1 ) = 226.2

volume of cylinder - volume of scoops = 794.8 cubic centimeters!

Note: if this question is being asked in a realistic way, the root beer is gonna spill over cus it's fizzy, so you actually will want some amount slightly less than 794.8 cubic cm
