Why does my Honeywell thermostat randomly not command for heat and the house gets cold? I then turn it off and reset hold and it seems to work for awhile then it shuts off again.

Step-by-step explanation:

If your Honeywell thermostat is randomly not commanding for heat, there could be several possible reasons for this issue. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check the thermostat settings: Make sure the thermostat is set to the correct heat mode and temperature.
  2. Check the power source: Ensure that the thermostat has a stable power supply. If the batteries are low or the thermostat is not connected to a power source, it may not be able to command the heating system.
  3. Check the wiring: Inspect the thermostat wiring to ensure it is properly connected and there are no loose or damaged wires.
  4. Check for system compatibility: Make sure your thermostat is compatible with your heating system. Some older heating systems may not be compatible with certain thermostats.

If the issue persists, it may be best to contact Honeywell customer support or a professional technician to further diagnose and resolve the problem.
