Answer:

x=4, y=1

Explanation:

$2x-7=√(-2x+9) \\ \\ 4x^2-28x+49=-2x+9 \\ \\ 4x^2-26x+40=0 \\ \\ 2x^2-13x+20=0 \\ \\ (2x-5)(x+4)=0 \\ \\ x=(5)/(2), =4$

If
x=5/2 , the first equation gives
y=-2 and the second equation gives
y=2 , so reject this solution.

If
x=4 , both equations yield
y=1 .

$\therefore x=4, y=1$
