(x^2-11x+30)/(x-5)

Factorize (x^2-11x+30),

(x^2-6x-5x+30)
(x(x-6)-5(x-6))
(x-5)(x-6)

We have,

(x^2-11x+30)/(x-5)
(x-5)(x-6)/(x-5)

(x-5) cancel each other,

(x-6)

You can also use synthetic division, traditional division or other methods of division.
