Fractions are sections of a whole component.lets say 1 is the whole component, this makes numbers like 1/2,1/3,1/4 are fractions of the whole component 1.
We have to find half of the fraction 3/5 added to 5/7.

(3)/(5) +(5)/(7)
find the least common multiple that applies to both denominators
the LCM of both 5 and 7 is 35
divide the LCM by each denominator and multiply it with its numerator.

add the answers you get after multiplication inserting the LCM as the denominator
21+25=46
=
(46)/(35)

Now we find halfway between this angle.

(46)/(35)÷2

we multiply
(46)/(35)×
(1)/(2)=
(23)/(35)

=
(23)/(35)
