  • When A is reflected across the y axis, it takes on the opposite sign.
  • -3 becomes + 3
  • Nothing happens to the y value of the point from this transformation
  • The new point is X(3,6)

Now we take the reflected point and move it three units. up

  • Up means increase the y value of the new point (X)
  • The y value = 6
  • Increase the y value by 3
  • This makes 6 + 3 = 9
  • So after all that X becomes (3,9)
