On Native American Indians, the west's growth has had two effects:
1. Horses belonging to Native Americans were taken.
2. Cattle belonging to Native Americans were taken.
What happened to Native Americans throughout the development of the West?
When the West was established, Native Americans in the western region of the United States suffered immensely because their property was taken from them fearlessly and brazenly.
Their cattle were driven away, and the younger ones were frequently branded before the White settlers claimed them.
The Native Americans were unable to defend their horses either, as the White people took many of them away.
