Step(i):-

Given that the 'y' varies directly as √x

⇒ y∝ √x

⇒ y = k√x

Put y=3 and x=3

3 = k ×√3

√3 k = √3×√3

After cancellation '√3' on both sides, we get

k = √3

Step(ii):-

Given that x=64 and k = √3

We have a function y = k√x ..(i)

substitute x =64 and k = √3 in equation (i)

y = √3 × 64

y = 64√3
