I don't really agree. It's most likely that the rich and guilty would be able to bail themselves out with their money, and afford a good lawyer while the poor and innocent can't do that.

I'd need something like a graph to answer that but no, I'm not surprised. Racism has always been thrown under the rug and has even been normalized in today's society.

No, they're just kids after all. They'd still need an education and such if they want to succeed. I'd be a waste to keep a child in a prison for life

I believe they'd think "Is this really necessary", to which I'd say it depends. Some people who suffered the death penalty deserved it, like Ted Bundy. The speaker would most likely use a graph to emphasize their point.

Society is judged by a bunch of things, but mainly by such things as race, identity, ethnicity, and more. In today's type of society, people of color, and the LGBTQ are much more tolerated but sometime there are still biased people.

Yes, inequality goes way back to a cruel time and it would hurt to bring such a grim topic up.
