14.3 - (-4.3). the negative will turn into a plus sign since a minus a negative will be positive. so, 14.3 + 4.3 = 18.6!

The answer is 18.6. The double negative (minus a negative) equals a positive. So you add 14.3 + 4.3 = 18.6
