Food:
Physical adaptation: The crested gecko has a long tongue that it uses to lick nectar from flowers. It also has strong jaws that allow it to eat small insects.
Behavioral adaptation: The crested gecko is nocturnal, meaning it is most active at night. This helps it to avoid predators and to find food when there is less competition from other animals.
Protection against predators
Physical adaptation: The crested gecko has brown camouflage that helps it to blend in with tree bark. It also has the ability to drop its tail if it is attacked by a predator. The tail will grow back, but it will be shorter than the original tail.
Behavioral adaptation: The crested gecko is very agile and can climb quickly up trees to escape predators
