W = 11

Explanation:

P = 2L + 2W

2L + 2W = 52 Divide each term by 2

2L/2 + 2W/2 = 52/2

L + W = 26 Substitute the value for L

W + 4 + W = 26

2W + 4 = 26

2W = 26 - 4 Subtract 4 from both sides

2W = 22 Divide by 2

W = 22 /2

W = 11

L = W + 4

L = 11 + 4

L = 15
