So first you can't divide fractions so you have to multiply them. In order to do this you have to flip one of the fractions.(It doesn't matter which one you still get the same answer in the end).

  • 5/6÷9/4=?

  • 5/6·4/9=?

I flipped the 9/4 to become 4/9 instead and put the multiplication sign.

  • 20/54

Now we have the fractions combined.

  • 10/17
