The garden is 10 ft. wide.

Explanation:

2 • (2w + w) = 60 here is an equation to show how I got the width (10 ft.)

2 x 3w = 60

6w = 60

Divide 6 from both sides, 6 & 6 cancel out and 60 divided by 6 is 10.
