The values of the hypotenuse are

1) a - 11.4 b) 12.1 c) 8.9 d) 17

2) 22.2 3)37.2 4) 26

What is the Pythagoras theorem?

The square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. The Pythagorean Theorem is widely used in geometry. The Pythagorean Theorem is a fundamental principle in geometry that relates the lengths of the sides of a right triangle.

Using the Pythagoras's theorem;

1a) a = √
7^2 + 9^2

a = 11.4

b) a = √
5^2 + 11^2

= 12.1

c) a = √
4^2 + 8^2

= 8.9

d) a = √
15^2 + 8^2

= 17

2) a = √
13^2 + 18^2

= 22.2

3) a = √
30^2 + 22^2

= 37.2

4) a = √
24^2 + 10^2

= 26
