Answer:

y = 3x - 2

Explanation:

Given the points :

(2,4) and (6,16).

x1 = 2 ; y1 = 4 ; x2 = 6 ; y2 = 16

Y = mx + b

m = slope

b = intercept

m = Rise / Run

Rise = y2 - y1 = 16 - 4 = 12

Run = x2 - x1 = 6 - 2 = 4

m = 12 / 4 = 3

Y = 3x + b

4 = 3(2) + b

4 = 6 + b

4 - 6 = b

b = - 2

Equation becomes ;

y = 3x - 2
