You are given the line 2y-3x=8 which could also be written as 2y=3x+8

First you have to solve that and end up with a solid y so you do 2/2y=(3/2)x+8/2 which is y=(3/2)x+4

In that form of a line the number next to the x its the slope so the slope its 3/2

In perperndicular lines to find the slope you have to do S1*S2= -1... (S=slope)

So... 3/2*S2= -1 and now you have to leave S2 alone to solve it so you divite it by 3/2 and you end up having

S2= -2/3

And thats the slope for the perperndicular line to 2y-3x =8
