Answer:

Since - 3/8 is in the numerator and 9/16 is in the denominator, we will add -1 to -3/8, and then add 8 to 9/16. This gets us -11/8 in the numerator, and 137/16 in the denominator. We then put these together as a fraction and get -11/8/137/16, or if it needs it in mixed numbers, it's -1 3/8 / 8 9/16
